Cr30Ni70 NiCr7030 Electrical Resistance Wire For Heating Elements
Resistance wire is a high-resistance electrical wire that is often found in industrial applications including electrical ovens, toasters, and heating elements.
The two major types of resistance wire are Kanthal and Nichrome wire.
What is a good resistance wire?
Nichrome, a non-magnetic 80/20 alloy of nickel and chromium, is the most common resistance wire for heating purposes because it has a high resistivity and resistance to oxidation at high temperatures.
When used as a heating element, it is usually wound into coils.
